Yeast Corn Bread
Source: Weimar Cookbook - Vintage Edition

2 1/3 cups warm water
1 package dry yeast
2 dates
2 cups cornmeal (stone ground)
1/3 cup sunflower seed meal
1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. water

DIRECTIONS:

Blend dates in warm water and add yeast. Let stand until foamy. Mix dry
ingredients and add water and yeast mixture. Stir well. Pour into shallow
baking pan. Let stand 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 45 minutes.
