Shipping policy
PLEASE NOTE: If using the Shop app (outside of Vegefood.com) to purchase items on Vegefood.com, a Shipper Kit for frozen products is NOT added to your order. All orders containing frozen items must have a Shipper Kit included in the order. Until we are able to have the Shop app automatically add the Shipper Kit, you will receive a separate invoice for the cost of the Shipper Kit after your purchase through Shop app.

We are online but do not work 24/7. Our store hours and shipping and handling definitions are as follows:

IMPORTANT SHIPPING & HANDLING NOTICE
We require up to 3 business days from the date of your order for handling and packaging (pulling from warehouse and packaging) due to the volume of orders received each day. We strive to stick to this policy, however, circumstances beyond our control may cause delays. Power outages, storms, dry-ice production issues, and more are a few examples. We appreciate your understanding and ask you to consider placing frozen orders well before upcoming events you may have planned.
EXAMPLE: Orders placed on Tuesday “may not” actually ship until the following Tuesday. (Wednesday, Thursday and Monday = handling days.)
FROZEN ORDERS SHIPMENT SCHEDULE
Frozen orders can only be shipped on certain days to prevent them from thawing out in a warehouse over the weekend. Though we insulate our boxes and include ice-packs and/or dry-ice, frozen products cannot remain frozen greater than 3 days. The following schedule shows what days frozen orders can be shipped:

For best results, if you live greater than 2-days shipment time from our location (See map below), it is best to order “UPS 2-Day Air” for frozen items.
DRY GOODS SHIPMENTS
Orders of Dry Goods only may ship any day Monday – Thursday with up to the same 3-day handling and packaging requirements.
Orders of Dry and Frozen goods:
- Priority is given to frozen items due to requiring shipment on Monday - Wednesday.
- Where possible, small dry good orders will be included within in boxes along with the frozen items in a manner that prevents the cold from affecting them. Otherwise, dry good orders will be shipped in separate boxes on Thursdays, with the same handling requirements as above.
SHIPPING:
- With the exception of unforeseen circumstances, our goal is to ship all orders within 3 business days.
Our online store is staffed Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 3pm.
We are closed Friday - Sunday.
- At this time, we are only able to ship to the United States and Washington, D.C.
(NOTE: We are unable to ship to P.O. Box addresses using UPS.) - We no longer ship via United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S.) to Alaska and Hawaii.
- United Parcel Service (UPS) shipping is available for all other orders.
- (NOTE: UPS does not ship to APO/FPO addresses. Email orders@vegefood.com.
- If shipping UPS to Alaska and Hawaii. and your order includes frozen items, choose "UPS 3-Day Select"!
- All case sales are automatically 10% off, separate from each month's promotion. No coupon code required.
- Case sales of products that are on sale, combined with our monthly automatic discount will receive a total of 20% - 25% off, depending on the monthly discount.
There are no "case" sales for frozen products due to the extra handling required.
Our current incremental flat rate shipping charge has been updated as follows:
$1.00 to $49.99 = Standard UPS shipping rates apply.
$50.00 to $149.99 = Flat fee of $20.00 per order.
$150.00 to $249.99 = Flat fee of $30.00 per order.
$250.00 to $349.99 = Flat rate of $40.00 per order.
$350.00 to $449.00 = Flat fee of $65.00 per order.
$450.00 and up = Flat fee of $100.00 per order.
NOTE: Flat rate shipping applies to the 48 contiguous states only!
NOTE: Please note that on the payments page the total shown includes shipping and tax (if applicable). To determine your order total, subtract shipping and tax (if applicable) from the total. In the example below, the product total is $45.90, not $57.38, so a standard UPS calculated shipping rate ($8.10 in this case) will apply instead of the $20.00 flat rate.

We accept the following payment methods: AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, VISA, and MASTERCARD.
Please note, the name on your credit card statement will appear as Clark Distributing, not vegefood.com.
We adhere to strict industry standards for payment processing, including: 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions; industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
PACKAGING:
Vegefood.com ships frozen product in a cardboard box with added insulation. Ice Packs or Dry-Ice are required for all frozen product shipments to help reduce thawing.
WARNING: DRY-ICE is extremely cold and can burn/damage. Only handle when using gloves.
We use sweat free refrigerant gel ice packs to prevent moisture damage to the product. We may also use Dry-Ice. Frozen orders will include 2 or more gel packs per box and 5 to 10 lbs. of Dry-Ice.
Gel packs contain earth-friendly, non-toxic ingredients. Feel free to reuse the packs for any appropriate use. Gel packs come in two sizes (12 & 24 oz.) and in some cases we may add a single large pack in place of two smaller packs.
